Project Overview

A development for Guernsey Housing Association comprising of 24 flats contained within 6 buildings. Bentleys were responsible for undertaking the design, manufacture and supply of the Kingspan TEK System, together with the training and supervision of the local installation teams.

“We are aware that a number of our residents in SIPS developments don’t ever turn their heating on while others only have need to use it occasionally. We only provide small electric panel heaters anyway as anything else is over the top. Taking this ‘fabric first’ approach means that we are virtually building passive houses which is good for the future of the whole community. Electricity, oil and especially gas prices over here are considerable so rather than ask the question, “what are we going to heat our homes with?” we prefer to provide homes that, to a large extent, don’t really need heating.”
