Project Overview

The project involved the refurbishment and extension of a 1920’s academic building which presented structural, M&E and asbestos challenges. The construction works involved underpinning and piling; adapting the existing structure to form large openings. The three storey performing arts extension was delivered on time and was well received by all the stakeholders – helping to progress the college’s creative academy. The building includes a theatre, performance studio, recording facilities, music rooms and classrooms.

"We appreciated the sympathetic approach of Bentley Project’s management team to working on a restricted and active college site. The interaction with staff, students and neighbours was well managed in a skilled and professional manner with the aim of minimum disruption."
